Glenn Robertson got a group of professional musicians together namely, Trevor Ray Parker, Alistair Andrews, Paul Mayers, Randall Cyster and Glenn himself, and put down these tracks in 4 hours. Glenn wanted a live feel to the songs and most definitely got that. A little later Glenn added saxophones, flutes, trumpets and synths to the original songs and now we have “It’s Certainly Grace.” Most of the songs were written and composed by Trevor Ray Parker, other songs writers featured are Brenton Brown, Peter Snyman and Alethea Volanie.

It is a compilation of worship songs, starting out with Phil Driscoll’s “Shout” moving on to Earth, Wind and Fire’s “Sing a Song,” flowing into series of worship songs which were written by local South African artists, viz. Timothy Feder, Glenn Robertson, Tracey O’ Connor and Brenton Brown. The track that has stood out on this CD is obviously “Africa Your Healing Time has Come,” and has had widespread popularity with local South African radio stations, and has been one of the songs used for “TRANSFORMATION AFRICA.”

Title : On Your Feet Volume I & II

COPY AND PASTE THIS LINK INTO YOUR BROWSER TO LISTEN TO SOME OF THE CLIPS: www.reverbnation.com/glennrobertsonjazzband This new Double CD has all of the favourites and more, including some nostalgic strains that transcend the boundaries of Jazz, like "July Morning". It has 24 tracks on two CDs. In that old Jazz classic movie "High Society" Louis Armstrong defines jazz in a rendition of "That's Jazz". The Glenn Robertson Jazz Band is summed up by those same lyrics. This CD started out as a single CD, but as time went by, there were just so many more favourite tunes that people wanted us to record, that we ended up doing a double CD. On Your Feet is a latin-jazzy, vibey CD that is a must for any jazz lover.
